Maderotherapy (also called Wood Therapy) and Brazilian MLD

Body and Face Sculpting, Shaping and Contouring

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage is a specialised massage technique designed to stimulate the lymphatic system, promoting fluid movement, reducing swelling and enhancing detoxification. It has gained global popularity for its ability to sculpt the body, improve circulation and boost overall wellness.

The natural material of wood is believed to have energetic and therapeutic properties, enhancing the benefits of the treatment. Wood therapy has roots in ancient Eastern and South American healing traditions. The modern version, Madero-therapy, gained popularity in Colombia during the 1990s as a non-invasive approach to body sculpting.

Benefits of Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage – widely used for both medical and aesthetic purposes, offering benefits such as:

Reduction of swelling and water retention                                  Improved circulation and oxygenation

Enhanced detoxification and immune function                          Reduction of cellulite and skin firming

Post-surgery recovery support                                                    Relief from bloating and digestive discomfort

Boosted metabolism and energy levels                                    Relaxation and stress reduction

Supports muscle recovery after intense workouts                      Helps flush out lactic acid buildup.

Mood enhancement – release of toxins can promote an overall sense of wellbeing

Many clients report feeling rejuvenated after treatment, making it a great option for both physical and emotional wellness.

The wooden tools deeply massage the fibrous tissue beneath the skin, breaking down fat cells and smoothing out those dimpled areas. The result is a visibly firmer, smoother appearance—especially on the thighs, buttocks and abdomen. It contours the body to improve appearance without harming the skin or tissue. Targeted massage that improves lymphatic function in areas prone to cellulite can break down fat deposits and flush toxins out of the body. By encouraging the production of elastin and collagen, Maderotherapy works to reduce cellulite at its roots, unlike laser or ultrasound treatments.

Maderotherapy is a holistic healing technique that encourages improved circulation and tissue stimulation. The effects can be immense, creating a significant overall boost to your entire well-being.  Stimulating microcirculation and blood flow can jumpstart metabolism, which promotes fat burning and tones the skin.

Although you may see some results after your first treatment, for optimal results a minimum of 3 to 5 sessions is recommended. While initial results may be visible after the first treatment, consistency is key to achieving lasting benefits. Avoid therapists promising overnight results; we have to be realistic about miracles!  For a fitness model wanting a pre-event treatment, a one-off session may well produce a noticeable reduction in water retention, giving a more sculpted look.  However, this isn’t a one-time forever fix - worth remembering when undergoing Maderotherapy!

With its ability to sculpt the body and improve health without invasive procedures, Maderotherapy is an excellent choice for those seeking holistic well-being. Why not give this revolutionary treatment a try – its non-invasive treatments will keep your skin looking healthy and natural without the potential side effects of surgery.

Before Treatment:

Stay hydrated and avoid heavy meals or alcohol at least 2 hours before your session.

After Treatment:

Drink plenty of water after your session to help flush out toxins and support the lymphatic system.

Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours to maximize results.

For optimal results, sessions are typically scheduled bi-weekly initially.

Consistency is key with Maderotherapy. While some results - like reduced swelling and increased relaxation - may appear after the first session, visible changes in cellulite reduction and body contouring are typically noticed after a few treatments. With regular sessions, you can achieve long-term improvements in skin tone, body definition, and overall wellness.

Holistic Approach:

For optimal body-shaping results, combine Maderotherapy with a healthy diet and regular exercise.
